The digital age has made inquiry both easier and harder: easier because information is abundant, harder because attention is scarce and misleading content is cheap to produce. The ability to inquire well — to formulate a real question, find relevant evidence, and weigh it honestly — is the core competence of critical thinking and the best defense against manipulation.
